The history of Murano mirrors began on the Venetian island of Murano, Italy, in the 15th century. Fusing brilliant glassmaking techniques with early mirror-backing processes, these masterpieces became legendary status symbols for European nobility and remain the pinnacle of luxury glass artistry today.
